Programs

The Office of Supportive Services works collaboratively with the Office of Admissions to identify and enroll students who are historically under represented in higher education. Once students are enrolled, the office continues its collaborative relationship with the schools and colleges and other administrative offices to provide comprehensive academic support to the students it serves. The office administers the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and the Student Support Services program (SSS). These programs offer the following support services: Academic Counseling Career Counseling Computer skills instruction Financial aid and advocacy Leadership experiences Peer Mentoring Personal and developmental support Professional and peer tutoring SummerStart (Summer Orientation program) Writing enhancement
